Sojin cast as lead in 'Shooting Stars' opposite Lee Sung-kyung, Kim Young-dae
Girl’s Day’s Sojin has been cast in a lead role in the drama ‘Shooting Stars’ (별똥별), acting opposite Lee Sung-kyung and Kim Young-dae. The news broke on September 15, 2021 in a Spotify News exclusive carried via Naver and filed by reporter Shim Eom-kyung.
Sojin will play Jo Ki-bum in the series, which is listed as a 2022 release. The Korean report’s headline reads “[단독]박소진, ‘별똥별’ 주연 캐스팅…이성경·김영대와 호흡”. The outlet’s English rendering gives it as “[Exclusive] Sojin Park, cast as the lead in ‘Shooting Star’… Breathing with Lee Sung-kyung and Kim Young-dae.”
The casting was firmed up on November 25, 2021, when an OSEN report by Park Pan-seok confirmed her for the lead role. The [단독] tag on the original September story marks it as an exclusive, and the title 별똥별 is given in English as ‘Shooting Star’.
‘Shooting Stars’ is set for 2022.
