Hyeri stars in teen thriller Friendly Rivalry
Hyeri starred in U+ Mobile TV’s Friendly Rivalry, a teen mystery thriller based on the webtoon by Song Chae-yoon and Shim Jae-young. The series aired from February 10 to March 6, 2025.
She played Yoo Jae-yi, the school’s top student, in a role that marked a departure from her usual bright characters. Her performance drew critical praise for its calculating, mysterious tone and exploration of same-sex attraction.
The role added to Hyeri’s growing list of leading drama credits, building on her breakout performance in Reply 1988 (2015). She has been one of the most active Girl’s Day members in acting since the group’s 2017 hiatus.
